Grim Fandango Costumes
By amygirlgermanpants - Monday 16th July 2007 @ 4:04 PM

These were worn at A-Kon 18, a convention held in Dallas, TX. I got this crazy idea to go as Meche Colomar from Grim Fandango, and my friend, Sterling, agreed to go with me as Manny Calavera.

The head is made of papier-mâché. I used 2-3 layers of newspaper, then 3-4 layers of printer paper (not only is it thicker, but I didn't have to paint it - the paper's already white!)

The eyes, nose and mouth were cut out, and black tights glued over the holes from the inside. The teeth are pieces cut from the mouth piece I removed earlier. The eyebrows and eyelashes are just Sharpie.

Thanks for the kind comments, y'all :)
