This Grim Fandango walkthrough was written by Iron Kat. While we would not recommend using a walkthrough as it can take away a lot of the enjoyment you'd get from the game. However, if you're sure you need one, take a look

Walk Manny over to the mail tube and have him read the letter. Pick up the playing cards off the table and take out a single card. Add this card to your inventory. Go out of the office and talk to Eva. Ask her about the poisoning and about your driver. Use the single playing card on the hole punch. Use the lift on the left to go down to the basement. Run over to Glottis’s hut and talk to him about being a driver. When he says he’s too big, use the line “You’re not too big, the cars are too small”. Take the work order and go back up to Eva. Ask her to sign it. She won’t, so head down to the lobby in the lift straight ahead. Go outside to the street and run over to the clown. Ask for a balloon (any will do) and 2 dead worms. Take a loaf of bread from the next stall and head to the alley. Run to the end and climb the tie rope. Go inside Don’s office and use his computer. Change the message to “Ah, cripes, Eva, just sign it yourself, will ya, I’m busy” and leave back out of the window and down the tie rope. Go back up to Eva and ask her to sign the work order again.

Use your scythe on the body bag.

Talk to Eva and Domino and then go back down to the lobby. A pink demon will come and talk to you about people shoving empty beer bottles down the mail tubes. When he’s gone head Manny to the room on the left. Use the 2 dead worms on the hoses and go back up to your office. Post the balloons down the mail tube and go back down to the lobby. Go to the room on the right. Pick up the fire extinguisher and walk over to the door. Turn the lock and talk to the demon. When he leaves he’ll take out a card from the red tube. Also when he leaves he’ll close the door but it won’t shut properly because of the lock. Go back into the room and open the door and use the playing card on the red tube.

Talk to Meche about her past and leave the office. Don will call you into his office.

Knock on the door and a shadow will appear. Talk to him about getting out and getting even. Tell him you’re going to take the DOD down and he’ll let you out.

Tell Salvador that you’re in and he’ll tell you you need to some pigeon eggs off the roof. Talk to Eva and she’ll tell you they need dental proof. Go back up in the lift and go to the end of the end of the alley again. Use the rope to get onto the ledge. Use the window to get into Domino’s office (round the side) and open up his desk drawer. Take out the coral and use the punch bag three times until the mouth piece falls down. Pick up the mouth piece and leave through the window. Use the coral on the short bit of rope and throw the rope up towards the ladder. Climb the ladder onto the roof. Run over to the metal dish and use a balloon and the bread on it. The birds will fly off. Go over to the funnel and take the eggs. Climb back down the rope and go into the garage. Run over to Glottis’s hut and use the mouth piece on the gum machine. Use the mouthpiece to make an impression of your teeth. Take this and the eggs to Sal and Eva.

Head over to Glottis. He’s crying because he got fired. Run down the passage behind him to get his heart back. Pick up four bones from the pile. Use one of them on the web. Use your scythe on the bone. Run back to Glottis and put his heart back in.

Drive the Bone Wagon down the passage on the top right. Use the wheel barrow on the tubes on the ground to synchronize the pumps. When the pumps are synchronized the tree will start shaking. Drop the wheel barrow and use the switch. When Glottis is up the tree use the switch again.

Exit the Bone Wagon and pick up the sign. Run with the sign up one of the passages on the top left. Put the sign down and follow where it points (taking the sign with you). When it is in the right place the ground will open up. Run back to the Bone Wagon and drive down the ramp. Shake the key down and get back in the Bone Wagon and go down the rocky passage. When you get the gate use the small door. Manny will get chased back out but go through it again and go down the small path on the left. A beaver will follow you. Throw a bone into the tar and immediately take out fire extinguisher. Keep pressing the ‘use’ key so that the beaver will drown. Do this two more times. Go back through the door and use the key on the gate.

You’re finally in Rubacava. Go up the stairs and walk across to the right as far as you can go and Manny will fall into the Sea of Lament. Go down and talk to Velasco (the sea captain) then go back up the stairs and up the second flight into the café. Talk to Celso and he’ll give you a photo his wife. Go back down the stairs to Velasco and show him the photo. He’ll give you his port log book. Go back to the café and show this to Celso.
