This Grim Fandango walkthrough was written by Iron Kat. While we would not recommend using a walkthrough as it can take away a lot of the enjoyment you'd get from the game. However, if you're sure you need one, take a look

Go down the steps to the base of the temple and open the coffin on the ground. It’s you’re old client, Bruno Martinez! Pocket the mug he throws at you and go back up the stairs.

Go under the Gate Keeper’s seat and you’ll get to the station. Walk over to what looks like a giant ash tray and you’ll find Chepito there. Talk to him and eventually he’ll go through the gateway to the Land of Eternal Rest. Walk back out of the station and try to leave. You’ll get called back by the gatekeeper and he gives a note from Hector. Pocket the note as you’ll need it later. Go back down the steps to the small building with the cable going into it. There you’ll find Glottis, Meche and some Mayan mechanics. Talk to Glottis then go down the steps and into the kitchen. Put the mug on the mug tree and take out a rag from the drawer. Go round to the back of the kitchen and us the rag on the oil barrel. Go back to the kitchen and use the oil-soaked rag on the toaster.

You’re back in Rubacava. Go across the hub to Velasco. Talk to him and when he leaves pick up the bottle. Go across to the Blue Casket and go into the kitchen. Use the bottle on the keg full of gelatine. Leave the Blue Casket and go back to the Bone Wagon. Carry on down to Toto’s tattoo parlour. Take the liquid Nitrogen and return to the others. Give the bottle of gelatine to Glottis. When he comes back he will feel really sick. Say something to him and he will throw up. Use the liquid Nitrogen on the vomit to freeze it. Go across the frozen vomit to disarm the Bone Wagon.

So, you’re back in El Marrow, now named Nuevo Marrow, in the LSA headquarters. Take the arm from the sprouted body and the photo from the bin. Talk to Meche about getting a disguise and a gun. Give the note from Hector and the photo to the pigeon.

Leave the HQ and go over to Glottis in the Bone Wagon. Take the controls and continue up the ladder. Go up the ladder at the end of the passage. Take the coffee and climb the ladder behind the two guys and pour the coffee on one of them to make them leave. Put the coffee back before climbing the ladder again. Use the arm with the grinder and add it to your inventory. Go back down the ladder and go down the steps. Leave the same way as you got there. Go back down the ladder and go round to far side of the Bone Wagon. Take out the arm-grinder and use it on the spot of green. See what happens? The bone sprouts because Bowsley’s (the florist) Sproutella spilt there. Follow his trail using the arm-grinder to get to his shop. But you get locked by the alligator. Move the Bone Wagon forward and use the controls to raise it. Exit the Wagon onto the plank and run towards the ladder. The alligator will turn round. When Manny stops climbing down, climb back up again and use the controls to lower the wagon and trap the ‘gator! I always think it’s a good idea to save it here, so that you don’t have to do it again! Go into Bowsley’s shop and use your scythe on the ball of sellotape over the bell. You will be sent out of the shop. Enter the shop again and ask for a gun. Go back up the ladder and use the passage marked ‘casino’. Go into the men’s room just to hear the funny comment Manny says! Then go down the steps into the casino area. Talk to Meche until she recognises you. Talk to the unicycle man. Cover Charlie with the sheet and then talk to the unicycle man again. Ask him to fix Charlie’s machine. After Charlie and Meche have left go into the men’s room again and put on Charlie’s suit. Go over to the pink demon and answer his questions. The last number to appear on the screen behind you is the answer. Talk to Celso and his wife. Tell them that you work for Hector and you’re going to answer their questions. Tell them that the tickets are fake and ask them what they’re saving their money for. Tell them about the adventure you’ve had and they’ll go and see Hector.

Go up onto the roof and onto the ledge by the sign. Use the arm-grinder on the crack and then the container of Sproutella. This will cause the sign to break. Climb the ladder onto the roof.

You’re now in Hector’s Garden of Death. Go up to the giant greenhouse. After getting shot in the cut scene use the liquid Nitrogen on the flower and rip it out of your bones. Go down to the car and talk to Salvador’s head. After he and Olivia have sprouted, open the case and take out your scythe. Sal’s ticket will also jump out and go over to Salvador’s sprouted head. Pick up the ticket and take round to the back of the greenhouse. Walk around until you get to the right spot: the ticket will fall to the ground. An emotional cut scene follows as Manny uses his scythe to cut through the flowers to reveal Salvador’s body. Search the body for the key ten go back to the car. Use the key to open the trunk and take out the gun. Run over to the water tank and use the gun on the water supply. Go up to the greenhouse and watch as Hector’s sprouted body explodes and his fez rolls out. Now watch the final cut scene as Manny delivers everyone to the end of the line! Congratulations on finishing Grim Fandango, now play the game again without using this walkthrough (although I’m hardly one to talk as I’ve used the walkthrough almost every time!)!
